Privacy Policy

Matra Studio (“Matra”, “we”) turns music recordings into chord charts, notation and sargam. This policy explains what we collect and why. Recordings remain private and may stay with your chart for playback or retry. Training requires separate consent.

What we collect

• Account data. If you create an account, your email address and authentication details managed by our auth provider. The private beta requires an account and verified email.
• Profile data you provide. Optional display name, username, instrument, interests and avatar image.
• Recordings you upload. We use the audio to validate, analyze and play your chart back in your private Studio. The original and related playback files may remain after analysis so you can reopen a result or recover from a failed attempt. Your audio is not model-training data by default.
• Charts and edits. The generated chords, key, tempo, melody, your corrections, and song metadata you enter.
• Usage and diagnostics. Basic technical logs (timestamps, error traces, cost accounting) needed to run and debug the service.

How we use it

• To transcribe your recordings and store your charts in your library.
• To save corrections to your own chart. A correction does not become training material unless you separately opt in.
• To operate, secure and support the service.

Third parties

• Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
• Modal — serverless compute that runs the transcription.
• Vercel — hosting the web interface.

We do not sell your personal data.

Your choices

• Deletion. Email support@matra.studio to request account or recording deletion. You can also remove an individual chart from its Studio actions when available.
• Export. Email support@matra.studio to request a copy of your data.
• Access / correction. Email support@matra.studio.

Retention

Recordings, chart data and profile data may be kept while your account is active so you can reopen and edit results. Failed recordings may be kept for recovery. Deletion and operational cleanup can take time; contact support for a request or its status. Diagnostic logs are kept for an operational period.

Children

Matra is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region).
