Licenses & attributions

Matra’s engine is trained and evaluated only on datasets we are licensed to use, plus corrections our users choose to save. We keep a per-dataset audit trail. Attributions required by those licenses are listed here.

Training data

• GuitarSet — Q. Xi, R. Bittner, J. Pauwels, X. Ye and J. P. Bello, “GuitarSet: A Dataset for Guitar Transcription”, ISMIR 2018. Licensed CC BY 4.0.
• Additional training-safe datasets (MusicNet, public-domain notation collections, synthetic MIDI renders) are used under their respective open licenses, with attribution where required.

Benchmark-only data

Some datasets are used only to measure accuracy and are never trained on, in keeping with their non-commercial or research licenses. We do not redistribute any benchmark data.

Software

• Verovio — music-notation engraving, used to render staff notation. Licensed LGPL.
• Type: Manrope, Playfair Display and Spline Sans Mono, all under the SIL Open Font License.
