Audio in. Chords out.
Your recording, routed into an inspectable Harmony result.
Upload MP3, WAV or M4A audio you can process and start analysis once. Matra shows only the musical views the engine produced for that recording. If a view is unavailable, the Studio explains why instead of inventing a result.
How it works
- 01
Declare, then upload
Upload audio you have the right to process. Add musical context when you know it.
- 02
Open the declared result
Matra shows only the musical views the engine produced for that recording. If a view is unavailable, the Studio explains why instead of inventing a result.
- 03
Fix, then keep it
Editing always improves your chart. Your corrections (never your audio) also help improve Matra’s engines, separated from your account, unless you turn that off in Account › Privacy. Edit the current score, then export PDF, MusicXML or MIDI when that format is available for the result.
What you get
The result lists only the views and exports the engine produced.
- Harmony with per-chord confidence when the Harmony lens is available
- Declared key, tempo and meter when supported by the result
- Staff notation when the Staff lens is available
- Separate Hindustani and Carnatic Sargam lenses when produced
- Transpose the editable score when musical notes are available
- Capability-scoped PDF, MusicXML and MIDI export
Questions, answered.
Which file formats work?
The current web Studio accepts MP3, WAV and M4A uploads. File size and duration limits are checked as part of the upload journey.
How long does it take?
Runtime varies with duration, route, queue and engine version. The processing page shows queued, running, ready, failed or expired state without inventing a finish time.
Can I get the chords of a famous song?
Matra accepts audio you have the right to process—your own playing, recordings or practice takes. It does not host a famous-song chart library, and the engine may abstain from unsupported or uncertain results.
What does it cost?
Invited members are not charged for analysis during the current private beta. Usage limits apply. Future credit, pack, subscription and discount policies have not been set.
Is my audio private?
Your recording stays private and can remain with your chart for playback or retry. Delete projects or your account yourself; see our Privacy Policy for retention and deletion. We never use your audio to train AI. Your corrections and your songs’ analysis (not audio) help improve Matra’s engines, separated from your account, unless you turn that off in Account › Privacy.
